Production Evaluation

Don't underestimate your production goals and values. Discounting your objectives and time to plan them properly can end up with poor results. Here's my quick consultation for you.

Get it Done Right

Your project is an original production. Some if not all of the criteria below may apply.

Basic Breakdown

Animation Plans

It's not uncommon for clients to see their ideas as very short which ultimately turn out longer than they initialy anticipated.

Scene timing, number of scenes, and effects often add to the overall length of an animation. The best way to get answers to your productions cost is to provide a descriptive plan. We can help you from there and work to build a quote with your deadlines and budgets in mind.

The more detailed and specific a plan is, the better we can compare the budget you have in mind. Supplying visual examples of works of interest can save on pre production time and expense.

Asset Building

As mentioned above there are various steps involved to fulfill your production. A key part is building assets for your piece. The CG Model requirements in the summary, story board and scripts will need to be built, acquired for production use.

When those are complete they will be rigged, placed in scenes, lit, animated, and output tested to your approval.

Avoid the "Seconds Time Trap"

I always suggest to clients to avoid the "seconds time trap". All this means is that model and asset construction costs are rarely effected by a limited screen time presence. The costs to model a car for a 10 second shot are the same as a car modeled for a one hour show. If a project requires multiple asset construction, it's better to plan on utilizing them with a long term future use in mind.

Budgets and Production Time lines

Every project is reviewed as its own original production. Understand that it is difficult to give ball park figures without clearly written plans and examples to refer to. We will do our best to guide the client to the most cost effective solutions given the above mentioned criteria.

From experience, animation projects and the production details mentioned in Get it Done Right are not measured in hours or days given the setup, testing, and approval processes required.
